Inspiring Student-led Environmental Action

The Green Student Program is an initiative designed for high schools students to foster deeper knowledge on and concern for their environment. It is designed to inspire student-led action in mitigating environmental issues in communities and schools, by empowering students to know and supporting them to act.

The green student program through workshops have convened 115 students and 22 teachers creating a platform for students to learn ask questions and build interest in leading environmental action and introduced biodegradable solutions by distributing 75 biodegradable items.

Through the fellowship we have mentored 20 student leaders to design environmental solutions supported 6 projects with small grants which have impacted 1000+ other students through upcycling clean up and recycling drives, school clubs, school workshops and waste innovations.

Workshop

An annual gathering of high school students (aged 13-19) and teachers to spark curiosity, expand environmental knowledge, and inspire immediate action.

Fellowship

An 8-week mentorship program for 20–30 selected fellows each year providing deeper learning and hands-on project design experience with resources to implement a school or community-based project.

Council

A team of passionate young changemakers serving as an advisory board to the program to ensure that it reflects the real needs, voices, and ideas of young people.
